TC Taylor comes at us with a hard driving fun party song for summer!  Background vocals provided by Harmoni Kelley (Kenny Chesney's bass player) and steel guitar done by Doyle Grisham (Jimmy Buffet's Coral Reefer Band).

An amazing song dedicated to the men and women who have served and continue to serve the greatest country on earth. With many accolades already to their name, this year includes a near clean sweep of nominations at the 2024 Josie Awards at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, TN. (Band of the Year, Drummer of the Year, Guitarist of the Year, Bassist of the Year, Male Vocalist of the Year, Keyboardist of the Year, and winner of the 2023 Vocalist of the Year). Whistlin’ Dixie is a hard diving, guitar charged country band that every song reminds us of home, faith, and family.

JED & CLAIRE SENECA

Jed and Claire Seneca is an  award winning  country duo with compelling positive songs about Love, Hope, Marriage, Family, Faith and God.  They earned acclaim with their self-titled debut album on Ransom Records. Released in 1994, the project was at the forefront of a new genre of music that combined country music instrumentation with faith-based lyrics. Seneca’s debut spawned four singles that charted in the top five, among them three that became #1 hits for the husband/wife duo.

CCM Magazine touted Seneca among the “New Faces of the Year” and their song “The Real True Love Can Wait” become an anthem for the teen purity movement. In 1996 they were voted Vocal Duo of the Year by the Christian Country Music Association.  They toured extensively throughout the United States and Europe, and quickly earned an enthusiastic legion of fans.

"I've always wanted the opportunity to move people with my music, just like how music moved me." Chip Darby, a 19 year old musician out of the SETX (Southeast Texas) area, has been bringing the heat with Texas Blues, Southern Rock, and Traditional Country music. The Song, "Where The Creek Flows" by Darby, is a love song written about a girl who told him that he'd regret the things he's done in their relationship and that the relationship was over. Heartbroken, in response to the words she had said, he told her " You may think I will, but I never ever will, hang up this ol' cowboy hat."

"Lean On Each Other" was written in the middle of a strawberry field in Poteet, TX. I played an acoustic set at the Strawberry Festival to end a 9 day acoustic run, and was camping on the festival grounds, getting ready to drive 8 hours back home the next day. I was thinking about how, when you are away from your significant other for an extended period of time, sometimes you're not always on the same page after that distance, and when you finally do get to see each other again, nothing really matters except coming back together and reconnecting.

Chris Edwards, simply put, is a singer-songwriter rooted in the deep Pineywoods of East Texas. Whether it's folkin' n' rollin' with a raucous band behind him, or armed with his guitar and songs, he is a compelling favorite among live music connoisseurs in the region.

With a suitcase full of influences ranging from the old-time folk and country he grew up with (thanks to his grandparents' record collection) to more recent Texas troubadours like Robert Earl Keen into rockier territory like the Old 97's, Chris Edwards' blend of catchy melodies and literate lyrics prove that he is a songwriter, first and foremost, focusing on "just writing good songs."

With a new album, “Homebrew,” about to come out (June 28th), Edwards feels he's "just getting warmed up," despite many valleys in his musical journey, but hey, the struggles and in-between periods just make the songs and stories all that more potent.

ONE CHURCH ONE BAR TOWN tells a story that mirrors April N. Smith's life. Here's the story directly from April: "I grew up in a small town with a population of less than 2,000 people...and 1,999 all knew me by name because my father was in local law enforcement and my mother was the school nurse. I attended church at First Baptist Church in Daingerfield which, at the time, was the largest church in town. It was a blessing and a curse to be from such a small place because everybody knew who I was, yet EVERYBODY KNEW WHO I BELONGED TO so if I messed up, there was no hiding it! I jokingly say that I loved living here so much I moved across the driveway when I started my own family, but that’s the reality of it. I live next door to my grandmother and across the street from my mom. I’ve moved away twice, never selling my home here. Both times I returned to the comfort and familiarity that comes from being in a place “where everybody knows your name”. So, when I was pitched this song, it felt like “home”.This song resonated with me because it truly is my life. My favorite line from the song is “My congregation meets on both sides of the street ”because I truly belong to both kind of people. The lyrics were beautifully written by Helene Cronin and Kristen Kuiper as if they had watched a slide show of my past and penned it as such." ONE CHURCH ONE BAR TOWN is a smooth country radio single Produced by Paul Osborn, the song showcases April's smooth vocals and incredible instrumentation.

One show is all it takes.

Cateran.

Originally formed in 2014 the band is comprised of a group of seasoned musicians and friends who had previously played in many  different bands and in many guises.

In addition to their own set of self-penned and recorded songs, Cateran also perform a selection of hand-picked cover versions, all  performed in their own style.

Featuring five vocalists and with influences including the Eagles; Crosby Stills Nash & Young and Runrig, to name but a few, their  sound features warm, close, blended harmonies, which underpin their melodic but meaningful song-writing style.

2017 saw the release of Cateran’s debut album, ‘Southerness’, with the release being celebrated with a capacity crowd at The Fort  Theatre in Bishopbriggs, Glasgow. It was also featured on BBC Radio Scotland’s popular ‘Iain Anderson Show’.

Cateran released, (December 2022), an EP on USB called ’The Gathering’. The tracks are available on all the usual music  streaming platforms.

The band has already enjoyed extensive exposure and recognition for two recent singles they released; ‘Rise’ and ‘I’ll Always Be  There’. Both songs received numerous radio station plays across a wide range of countries; UK, Ireland, Canada, USA and  Australian stations have all picked up and featured these songs. Cateran were particularly pleased to have high profile stations in  Nashville, Memphis and New York, to name a few States, playing their music.

Emerging from COVID lockdowns, in 2022, they sold out and played concerts in Scotland plus featured in a prominent slot at the  annual ‘Moira Furnace Folk Festival’ in England, where their performance received excellent feedback. More recently, they sold out  several evenings at the Fort Theatre Bishopbriggs, and The Lanternouse Theatre Cumbernauld.

The band are completely self-contained, providing, both sound and lighting equipment when required, and will adapt to the  requirements of the venue and the audience, by appearing in a more “acoustic” format with a percussion setup rather than drumkit,  when this would be a more appropriate option for smaller, more intimate gigs. The band also offer a trio/quartet based around  vocals and acoustic guitar for promotional radio/TV appearances.

Last Train To Glory by Marc Ricks

Marc Ricks

Christian Country Alternative: a new genre of my own creation. Music is in my soul and my faith in Christ is my passion. With the country music genre being the hub and my "go-to" style of choice, it becomes more and more apparent that the new norm of country music is to push the boundaries and see what many artists can get away with regarding content and lyrics, which is problematic for many like myself that simply enjoy wholesome lyrics and simple harmonic construction.

In the fall of 2023 as a "starving teacher", it occurred to me to try my hand at being a "starving artist" and use the same modern sounds as some of my favorites — such as Combs, Pardi, and Midland — but incorporate lyrics and stories that either come straight from the Word or are relevant from a Christian perspective. Having released my first EP in February of 2024, appropriately titled Showcase, it felt like that goal was achieved. Please drop me a like or comment and also follow me on my social media pages and Patreon for exclusive content!

Mark Winston Hagood
SONGWRITER, SINGER, STORYTELLER
Allow me to introduce to you to me and my music. My original country songs represent my musical journey and life experiences over the years. My music is heavily influenced by my hard drinking, hardworking, country music lovin’ daddy and my Pentecostal holy rollin’ hymn singin’ mama. My music is also inspired by many mentors and close friends that I have made in the Texas music scene throughout the years. The first musical memory I have of performing was with my dad's band at age seven singing the old Hank Williams song "Hey Good Looking”, and I’ve been hooked on country music since that day.
Thank you for listening!

New album: "Love and Unity" by Jackslacks

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Christian rockabilly artist Jackslacks, right smack in the middle of a relevant career recording and performing this classic genre — as always, zhuzh’d with flourishes from his other, diverse influences while developing a sound that draws on, to varying degrees, country, rock and no-holds-barred Americana — drops his new long-player, Love & Unity in 2024.

Jackslacks (aka Chris Giorgio) cut his teeth in quintessential California outfits Forbidden Pigs and Hot Rod Lincoln in the ‘80s & ‘90s, before going solo with the acclaimed, Lee Rocker-produced full-length, Rock ’n’ Roll Dinosaur. His 2021 LP, Inside Out, boasted a six-week run at #1 on the Roots Music Report’s Top Rockabilly Album Chart (and finished at #4 for the year).

Following up that humble success, Love & Unity, maintains Jackslacks’ tried ’n’ true “rocka-rocka” formula — that overall rockabilly groove, while reserving an alternative edge — with eight brand-spankin’-new tunes, plus a cover of the early 20th century gospel hymn, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.”
Keep an ear out for guest spots from guitarists Tommy Byrnes (Stray Cats, Billy Joel) and Jerry "Hot Rod" DeMink (AC Reed, Billy Bacon), multi-instrumentalist David Roof (Starlight Drifters, Nobody's Business), vocalist Jenna Esposito, and Jackslacks’ own daughter, violin virtuoso, Taylor Giorgio.

'The Great Western Hangover' The new album from Willy Tea Taylor - TEXAS BREW RADIO

'The Great Western Hangover' The new album from Willy Tea Taylor

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

THE GREAT WESTERN HANGOVER
The ten-song LP features a sample-size blend of Willy’s musical influences like Tom Petty-esque rock anthems, riders of the storm rattling westerns, and bait’n tackle choir chants, while delivering the masterful songwriting that Taylor’s cult of underground folk followers devour. The Great Western Hangover features other talents like Anna Tivel, Jeffrey Martin, Rainbow Girls, and members of Fruition, and TK & the Holy Know-Nothings.

Recorded live in a two-and-a-half day session at Our Lady of Perpetual Heat Recording Studio & Spa just outside of Portland, The Great Western Hangover showcases many sides of Willy Tea Taylor’s musical mind and songwriting prowess. Willy Tea Taylor has dedicated his life to constantly crafting the ultimate “hero hang” as an eternal seeker of Guy Clark’s kitchen table. Gathering folks betrothed to music, who ride the wave of the unknown, and strive to experience full-hearted gratitude amidst the chaotic modern world is what built the foundation The Fellership stands upon.

Some might think of it as an expanded supergroup, but in the form of Taylor’s band, The Fellership amplifies good times, supports wandering souls, and acts as defenders of a well-crafted song. Though a constantly shifting outfit, this Fellership iteration pressed in wax features Taylor Kingman (TK & The Holy Know-Nothings), Tyler Thompson (Fruition, TK & The Holy Know-Nothings), Kris Stuart (Wanderlodge, Root Jack), Dylan Nicholson (The Turkey Buzzards), and Eric Patterson (The Turkey Buzzards).

New Album: 'Innocent Allies' by Cary Morin

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Internationally acclaimed as a mesmerizing live performer, Cary Morin’s soul-stirring voice and jaw-dropping fingerstyle guitar playing have captivated audiences for decades.

“Cary is a unique and brilliant player, songwriter, and singer. I have huge respect for his style and technique,” says legendary multi-instrumentalist and songwriter David Bromberg. “If you haven’t heard him yet, you should.”

Morin’s latest project, Innocent Allies, honors his family’s Native American heritage and is inspired by the genius of famous Western artist, Charles Marion Russell. “This record is a masterpiece worthy of its place among the great works of art it was created to honor,” says Trina Shoemaker, the Grammy-winning producer who mixed and mastered the album at her Alabama studio. “Through the songs, I was able to visualize these unseen paintings with uncanny clarity and feel the powerful emotions.”

Morin’s career catalog fuses the best of American roots music: blues, folk, soul, bluegrass, and the timeless and distinctive sounds of the rural countryside, from the Western Plains and the Rocky Mountains to the rhythmic melting pot of the deep South.

His music has reached millions through prestigious performances at venues like the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center as well as national television and radio programs. He has shared stages with Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, and Bonnie Raitt, among countless others, while earning multiple awards including two Indigenous Music Awards for Best Blues CD.

When not performing across the US and Europe, Morin finds inspiration in Northern Colorado, which he proudly calls home.

New Album: 'Matador' by Lori Yates

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

Trailblazer Lori Yates is a renowned voice in Canadian roots music and one of the original pioneers of "alternative country" in Canada.

If you combine the pathos of Johnny Cash, Joan Jett's grit, and Lucille Ball's humour, you may understand the spirit that embodies Lori Yates and her music.

The Band's Rick Danko once described Yates as having "that desperate Canadian sound," sealing her legendary status.

Lori returns with her 8th recording, “Matador,” a masterful collection of roots/indie songs, including re-recording her Guy Clark co-write “Time After Time.”

Her voice is like liquid honey; it cracks in the right places and kicks your ass with strength and conviction.

Yates burst onto Toronto's Queen West scene in the 1980s with her cowpunk band Rang Tango and was signed to Sony Nashville.

Awards, accolades and nominations followed, including Juno, CCMA, Polaris Prize (Longer List), Songwriter of the Year and a SOCAN #1 Award and two Lifetime Achievement awards nominations. Lori recorded a duet "Brother to Brother" with legend Greg Allman for the movie Next of Kin.

Lori's move from major labels like Sony Nashville and Virgin Music Canada to her independent recordings allowed her to create her best work, proving her unwavering commitment to her art.

- “Yates has made an excellent new nine-song album.” - Nick Krewen, Toronto Star

- "Her skill as a writer as much as a vocalist is evident. The record's full of delicate pain and distant hopefulness" - Stephen Rapid, Lonesome Highway, Dublin, Ireland

- "Lori Yates’ Matador, sparkles with seductive grooves, wonderfully inventive melodies and finely crafted, emotive-filled vocals. Matator is, so far, my favourite album of the year.
– Rob Bowman, Grammy-winning Professor of Music

New Album: 'Ole Blue' by Cary Hudson

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

The state of Mississippi is known by many as "the birthplace of America's
music." Cary Hudson, who hails from the piney woods area of the magnolia state, is deeply aware of those roots, and isn't afraid to let them shine through in his own music.
The singer-songwriter-guitarist-pianist has been around the block a few
times, but has always come out swinging with a gritty mix of country, folk, blues, and rock and roll, all channeled through Hudson's singular voice, whether singing, wailing on six strings, pounding keys, or blowing harp.
Named among the top ten guitarists of alternative country by Gibson
Guitars, Cary's sound is a potent stew of greasy grooves, plaintive melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and fiery guitar solos.
Hudson first entered the national spotlight as the co-leader (with Laurie Stirratt) of the Oxford, miss.-based roots-rock heroes blue mountain in the early 1980s. Blue mountain graced the cover of the second-ever edition of the alt-country bible no depression and were voted by readers of the local voice as Oxford's most legendary band in 2011.

New Single: "Nobody Else But You" by Gary Patrick

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

Texas based singer and songwriter Gary Patrick is captivating listeners with his latest album, "High to Ride." His current release at the forefront of the project is his single "Nobody Else But You," a poignant reflection on the unexpected encounter that changes the course of one's life. Patrick explains, "Many of us can relate to this one; that certain time where you weren't expecting to meet someone.”

Collaborative efforts of Patrick and co-writer Ken Orsow shine through in the album's composition, with six tracks showcasing their work. Recorded at Mauldin Studios and produced by Chad Mauldin, each song reflects a harmonious blend of talent and dedication. “I have a great team. Ken is incredible and this has been my fourth album that Chad has put together. He has everything in his studio that I could want for making a record. He’s also brilliant”

From the upbeat rhythms of "Rivers and Creeks" to the introspective melody of "Waiting that Long," "High to Ride" offers a diverse landscape that takes listeners on a journey. Including the cover of John Waite's "Missing You" adds a nostalgic touch, showcasing Patrick's ability to breathe new life into familiar classics.

Reflecting on the album's essence, Patrick says, "This is a great blend of all the genres that I've ever loved in my life." Indeed, "High to Ride" is more than just a collection of songs—it's a cinematic experience, with each track contributing to a larger narrative.

As "Nobody Else But You" makes its way to the airwaves, with Gary Patrick at the helm, "High to Ride" promises an unforgettable ride filled with soul-stirring moments and timeless melodies. The latest single along with the entire album stand as a testament to Patrick’s dedication to telling impactful stories.

New Single: "You and Me and the Neon" by The Western Express

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

"You and Me and the Neon" is an account of meeting someone interesting, having a few dances, a few drinks, and maybe even stealing a quick kiss before the lights come on. I mean, if you haven’t fallen in love at a Texas honky tonk, are you even a real Texan?

Stephen Castillo and the Western Express know a thing or two about stories just like this. Even before the boys played hundreds of dance hall shows over five years, Stephen was a full-time honky tonker. We’re talking sawdust dancefloors, whiskey shots, and some of the best damn country music the world has ever heard.

Drawing from that rich Texas tradition, You and Me and the Neon is shaping up to be THE summer anthem of 2024, with a perfect two-step beat, a big singable hook, and a great (true!) story of human connection at the world famous Broken Spoke in Austin.

This is a modern country song that still has all of the roots of traditional country music. When I wrote this song, I absolutely fell in love with it. It was produced by Curt Ryle with Clarksville Creative Sound, in Clarksville, TN, just up the road from Nashville. I hope you like it and will consider putting it in rotation.

Many successful artists attempt to “crossover” or “try something new” at some point in their career. So it wasn’t a huge surprise back in 2022 when Jaret Ray Reddick made the announcement that he was releasing a solo album. But Country?

Fast forward a couple years, and the frontman / singer / songwriter for the Grammy nominated pop-punk icons Bowling For Soup has dug his Chuck Taylor’s deep into the world of Texas Country…and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who is surprised by this!

Jaret’s voice is unmistakable. It’s somewhat hard to escape it! From Bowling For Soup songs like “1985,” “Girl All The Bad Guys Want,” and “High School Never Ends” to the theme song of Disney’s smash hit cartoon Phineas and Ferb (where he also played a character on the show). He has been the voice of everyone’s favorite pizza selling mouse, Chuck E. Cheese, for over a decade and also co-hosts the widely successful Idobi Radio show & podcast - Rockstar Dad Show.

Despite being one of the busiest dudes in the business, Jaret is taking his country music very seriously! “My plan was to dip my toes in the water, release a few songs, play a few shows, and just kinda see what happens” he remembers. “But once the album was out, and I got the band together, we got out and started doing the darn thing, everything changed. Put it this way…three months after our first full band show, we traded my wife’s car in for a band van. I feel like that shows how serious I am! And how cool my wife is!” he laughs.

Adding a "Louisiana" flavor to such an incredible song, we assembled some of the best musicians in Texas and Louisiana who together made this vision a reality. Incredible song that you will all recognize and written by our dear friend Eddy Raven. We have remained true to this iconic song and tried to make it a little more "Acadiana/Louisiana" feeling.. I hope you all enjoy our labor of love!

HOW DO I GET MY MUSIC ON TEXAS BREW RADIO?

HOW DO I GET MY MUSIC ON TEXAS BREW RADIO?

Absolutely! We started a Texas Country Station - but we have too much to offer and staying that way would squash our vision!

We want our station going from a heavy metal song screaming God's a liar! To a worship song thanking Him for always being there.
We don't get the positive music, only on the positive station. And, the world is so divided, we need to help in any way we can, so we can get back to being proud Americans!
I'm working with a private venue in the downtown Stockyards to breed original music.

As far as getting on radio - need website/bio/social media- send me mp3 files and a cover photo, I'll need that or can make one.

We have events the 2nd Saturday of every month for networking and exposure- we have a video team and are working on getting our shows in online purchase viewing format.
We started hosting these in January this year. I started the station and took over the Texas State Songwriters Championship last January.

Bottom line is the only reason I have a radio station is to support the ones who have the voice and power to change the world!
Music is our universal language.  They limit the stories we get to hear on mainstream radio, and have changed the frequency, so it doesn't have the healing properties!
I am on a mission to breed original music! To support the ones making it and the venues supporting them! And to encourage them to write stories about the good old days!

Our generation has started waking up! Not taking the drugs they want to push on us, educating the public on health. We have 25 states now with self-testing facilities to get lab work without having to play the 'who moved my cheese' game with the medical industry! I hope you check out our upcoming events- I just got over 2 months of medical issues that were life threatening, to a point! And have a lot of updates to do. As our calendar was just set for our Finale in December, and I have been putting all of this together, while trying to juggle family, multiple businesses, and running social media for over a dozen other companies!

I'm really excited about the future of our organization.  I took over as CEO season 9 and we are currently powering through our decade celebration!
Here's a list of upcoming events! You are welcome at ANY of these dates.  The only event we have that is Texas Only is our FINALE- The rest are worldwide artists support and mental health awareness, education, networking opportunities.

Our main events you would probably want to travel for are
1st Annual Music Expo

We just amped up our Jokes & Strokes For Folks Events (2nd Saturday of every month- community networking)

We were helping build another rural venue and decided it best to move everything downtown for the sake of our artists and vision.

We are not in this for ourselves- we are in this for the country!
I went to the ABC Islands, and the conversations with the foreigners were always.
"Are you American?" Followed by "Why do you let your government poison you".
I wasn't supposed to spend my birthday cruise interviewing people about their thoughts lol
I saw it was possible for entire pieces of land to have EVERYONE HAPPY.
And hit a hole when I got back to America!  I didn't even get on the plane yet and people were already starting to be rude!
And, of course they dump you off in NY - LOL
I left Florida because too many NY attitudes had become permanent fixtures and no longer just snowbirds!

I'm looking forward to pulling a #COLTFORD and taking this country #BACK - to the good ole' days- or at least as close to it as we possibly can!
This is not the world we were born into! And it's because we have been conquered and divided!
Whether you are a believer or not, I encourage you to skim through the last few live feeds on this page- and you will get a LOT of insight on what is going on in our world and where I am coming from.  It even crazier that I had most of this information before I started attending this church! And, it's just helped reassure me, I'm not nuts! LOL - the world is asleep!

They started spraying folic acid on our crops years ago "enriched grain" it's caused people to develop reactions to gluten.
Fructose corn syrup is in everything, we can't process corn.....SO LET'S JUST ADD SUGAR???? HELLO CANCER-
The CDC admitted cancer went up 144% with the COVID SHOT!

I encourage your artists to download this app- and reach out to me. I have an amazing network, the app is a free speech platform. And I have artists who got 11k followers in 7 weeks, multiple!
I will help them figure out the algorithm. They will need to stick to it for the first 6 weeks and then can post once a day and will grow!

They can monetize from day one on this app!

We got an amazing email asking how to be put on the station from an artist that was out of state!

In my opinion, lower numbers of volunteers forced the Military to operate as a massive marketing
machine, focusing more on recruitment, and letting the promise of health care, to past and present
service members, fall by the wayside. That, and the military culture of Suck-It-Up-And-Carry-On, fed into
the stigma against those suffering from mental health issues.

In recent years, military suicide rates are four times higher than deaths that occurred during military
operations. It has been said that 22 veterans commit suicide daily in the United States. By some
accounts, that number is wrong, it is higher, including past and present service members.
How did we get here, and how can we help?

I was born in 1972, and things were quite different at that time. Nixon was President, we were pulling
out of Vietnam, converting to an all-volunteer military force, officially ending the draft in 1973. The
carnage of war in Vietnam found its way into our living rooms on the nightly news. What we were
seeing on TV, didn’t match what the government was saying about the war, and many felt that our
involvement, in Vietnam, was unnecessary. American’s trust, in the government, and the military was at
an all-time low.

According to the November 1993 Combat Area Casualty File, one out of every ten Americans was a
casualty. Out of the 2.59 million soldiers that served, 58,169 were killed, and 304,000 were wounded.
These numbers have been adjusted over time, and as of today, there are 58,300 names listed on the
Vietnam Veterans Memorial.

Soldiers, that made it home, returned to a very poor reception. Those that opposed war blamed
American troops for the tragic situation, in Vietnam, instead of the government that sent them there.
Those who supported it resented the veterans for losing the war. Those who served were often treated
as traitors instead of heroes and found it difficult to adjust to life back home.

Many Vietnam Veterans suffered from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). They found it difficult to
sleep, were prone to anger and irritability, startled easily, acted recklessly, or abused drugs or alcohol as
a coping mechanism.

Many were diagnosed with various types of cancer, and other issues that were later linked to their
exposure to Agent Orange. Agent Orange was a blend of tactical herbicides, used by the military, to
remove the leaves, trees, and dense foliage that provided enemy cover. It was extremely deadly
because U.S. forces sprayed 20 times more than the manufacturer recommended in the environment.

After the war ended in 1975, the public still had disdain for the military. Many civilians, saw a military
career, as a bad decision. Several branches of the armed services weren’t meeting their recruitment
quota, in my opinion, causing the Military to become the marketing juggernaut, that it is today.

I grew up seeing military service adds, several times a day, during my favorite tv programs. Billboards,
pamphlets, and Military Magazines were placed in various locations all over town. They seemed to be
aimed toward the working class, the poor, and people of color. They were everywhere. Slogans like Be
All You Can Be were burned into my memory.

You will get to travel the world, we will train you, offer you sign on bonuses, help you pay for school,
and provide free medical care. This was all in exchange for a two-to-six-year commitment, to a branch
of the Armed Services, with the lesser publicized understanding that should this country go to war, you could be put in harm’s way. This soft but aggressive sales tactic caught many an 18-year-old, with its
promises.

Now with Desert Storm, Desert Shield, Desert Sabre, the war in Iraq, and Afghanistan, the US Military
health care system now faces a larger issue. Many veterans are still trying to navigate the complicated
VA Healthcare System, and many are still fighting to receive disability, for issues that developed due to
their time in the service.

From 2016-2020, approximately 460,000 active service members were
diagnosed with at least 1 mental health disorder. Approximately 85,000 were diagnosed with mental
health problems related to family problems, maltreatment, substance abuse, PTSD, and assault.

It’s time to face this problem in the open and do what we can to help. Organizations such as the North
Texas Wounded Warrior Golf Association is doing just that. Their focus is not on being wounded but
improving lives of fellow warriors through the game of golf.

Their board of directors and warrior
ambassadors have all experienced the benefits of warrior-focused golfing programs and are dedicated
to paying it forward.

We can't wait to tell you more about Dan Wesley White and his journey!

Meet Dan Wesley White, Texas Song Writer Behind The Song Titled 22.

Dan started trying to learn piano for church, and singing in the church choir, when he was ten years old.

He then moved on to learning to play the trumpet and tuba in grade school.  During his high school years, he started playing base in the school jazz band, decided to try out for the Army Band Program, and he was accepted when he graduated high school.

After leaving the Military Dan returned to school to get a teaching degree, and now teaches music in South Texas. After playing covers of others songs most of his life, Dan decided to try his hand at writing his own last year.  His inspiration comes from subjects he feels strongly about.and personal experiences.

As a disabled vet who has fought with the VA system and saw other vets  mistreated, Dan felt he  needed to write 22 to bring awareness to our men and women in uniform who have to fight daily battles to survive each day and not become a 22 statistic.

Dan’s hobbies include music writing and performing, playing video games, and building lego sets with his  children.

Dan has several songs on Spotify and Apple Music, which showcase his musical talent.  He blends Country with Tex-Mex, and Texas Swing, with Rock Influences.

Dan hopes his songwriting will become a legacy for his kids.

To learn more about Dan, check out danwesleywhite.com

Join us Dec 9 @ Horus Hall to witness the first time Dan has ever performed his own music LIVE!
