Mark Winston Hagood
SONGWRITER, SINGER, STORYTELLER
Allow me to introduce to you to me and my music. My original country songs represent my musical journey and life experiences over the years. My music is heavily influenced by my hard drinking, hardworking, country music lovin’ daddy and my Pentecostal holy rollin’ hymn singin’ mama. My music is also inspired by many mentors and close friends that I have made in the Texas music scene throughout the years. The first musical memory I have of performing was with my dad's band at age seven singing the old Hank Williams song "Hey Good Looking”, and I’ve been hooked on country music since that day.
Thank you for listening!

New album: "Love and Unity" by Jackslacks - TEXAS BREW RADIO

New album: "Love and Unity" by Jackslacks

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Christian rockabilly artist Jackslacks, right smack in the middle of a relevant career recording and performing this classic genre — as always, zhuzh’d with flourishes from his other, diverse influences while developing a sound that draws on, to varying degrees, country, rock and no-holds-barred Americana — drops his new long-player, Love & Unity in 2024.

Jackslacks (aka Chris Giorgio) cut his teeth in quintessential California outfits Forbidden Pigs and Hot Rod Lincoln in the ‘80s & ‘90s, before going solo with the acclaimed, Lee Rocker-produced full-length, Rock ’n’ Roll Dinosaur. His 2021 LP, Inside Out, boasted a six-week run at #1 on the Roots Music Report’s Top Rockabilly Album Chart (and finished at #4 for the year).

Following up that humble success, Love & Unity, maintains Jackslacks’ tried ’n’ true “rocka-rocka” formula — that overall rockabilly groove, while reserving an alternative edge — with eight brand-spankin’-new tunes, plus a cover of the early 20th century gospel hymn, “Take My Hand, Precious Lord.”
Keep an ear out for guest spots from guitarists Tommy Byrnes (Stray Cats, Billy Joel) and Jerry "Hot Rod" DeMink (AC Reed, Billy Bacon), multi-instrumentalist David Roof (Starlight Drifters, Nobody's Business), vocalist Jenna Esposito, and Jackslacks’ own daughter, violin virtuoso, Taylor Giorgio.

'The Great Western Hangover' The new album from Willy Tea Taylor - TEXAS BREW RADIO

'The Great Western Hangover' The new album from Willy Tea Taylor

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

THE GREAT WESTERN HANGOVER
The ten-song LP features a sample-size blend of Willy’s musical influences like Tom Petty-esque rock anthems, riders of the storm rattling westerns, and bait’n tackle choir chants, while delivering the masterful songwriting that Taylor’s cult of underground folk followers devour. The Great Western Hangover features other talents like Anna Tivel, Jeffrey Martin, Rainbow Girls, and members of Fruition, and TK & the Holy Know-Nothings.

Recorded live in a two-and-a-half day session at Our Lady of Perpetual Heat Recording Studio & Spa just outside of Portland, The Great Western Hangover showcases many sides of Willy Tea Taylor’s musical mind and songwriting prowess. Willy Tea Taylor has dedicated his life to constantly crafting the ultimate “hero hang” as an eternal seeker of Guy Clark’s kitchen table. Gathering folks betrothed to music, who ride the wave of the unknown, and strive to experience full-hearted gratitude amidst the chaotic modern world is what built the foundation The Fellership stands upon.

Some might think of it as an expanded supergroup, but in the form of Taylor’s band, The Fellership amplifies good times, supports wandering souls, and acts as defenders of a well-crafted song. Though a constantly shifting outfit, this Fellership iteration pressed in wax features Taylor Kingman (TK & The Holy Know-Nothings), Tyler Thompson (Fruition, TK & The Holy Know-Nothings), Kris Stuart (Wanderlodge, Root Jack), Dylan Nicholson (The Turkey Buzzards), and Eric Patterson (The Turkey Buzzards).

New Album: 'Innocent Allies' by Cary Morin- TEXAS BREW RADIO

New Album: 'Innocent Allies' by Cary Morin

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Internationally acclaimed as a mesmerizing live performer, Cary Morin’s soul-stirring voice and jaw-dropping fingerstyle guitar playing have captivated audiences for decades.

“Cary is a unique and brilliant player, songwriter, and singer. I have huge respect for his style and technique,” says legendary multi-instrumentalist and songwriter David Bromberg. “If you haven’t heard him yet, you should.”

Morin’s latest project, Innocent Allies, honors his family’s Native American heritage and is inspired by the genius of famous Western artist, Charles Marion Russell. “This record is a masterpiece worthy of its place among the great works of art it was created to honor,” says Trina Shoemaker, the Grammy-winning producer who mixed and mastered the album at her Alabama studio. “Through the songs, I was able to visualize these unseen paintings with uncanny clarity and feel the powerful emotions.”

Morin’s career catalog fuses the best of American roots music: blues, folk, soul, bluegrass, and the timeless and distinctive sounds of the rural countryside, from the Western Plains and the Rocky Mountains to the rhythmic melting pot of the deep South.

His music has reached millions through prestigious performances at venues like the Kennedy Center and Lincoln Center as well as national television and radio programs. He has shared stages with Taj Mahal, Los Lobos, and Bonnie Raitt, among countless others, while earning multiple awards including two Indigenous Music Awards for Best Blues CD.

When not performing across the US and Europe, Morin finds inspiration in Northern Colorado, which he proudly calls home.

New Album: 'Matador' by Lori Yates - TEXAS BREW RADIO

New Album: 'Matador' by Lori Yates

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

Trailblazer Lori Yates is a renowned voice in Canadian roots music and one of the original pioneers of "alternative country" in Canada.

If you combine the pathos of Johnny Cash, Joan Jett's grit, and Lucille Ball's humour, you may understand the spirit that embodies Lori Yates and her music.

The Band's Rick Danko once described Yates as having "that desperate Canadian sound," sealing her legendary status.

Lori returns with her 8th recording, “Matador,” a masterful collection of roots/indie songs, including re-recording her Guy Clark co-write “Time After Time.”

Her voice is like liquid honey; it cracks in the right places and kicks your ass with strength and conviction.

Yates burst onto Toronto's Queen West scene in the 1980s with her cowpunk band Rang Tango and was signed to Sony Nashville.

Awards, accolades and nominations followed, including Juno, CCMA, Polaris Prize (Longer List), Songwriter of the Year and a SOCAN #1 Award and two Lifetime Achievement awards nominations. Lori recorded a duet "Brother to Brother" with legend Greg Allman for the movie Next of Kin.

Lori's move from major labels like Sony Nashville and Virgin Music Canada to her independent recordings allowed her to create her best work, proving her unwavering commitment to her art.

- “Yates has made an excellent new nine-song album.” - Nick Krewen, Toronto Star

- "Her skill as a writer as much as a vocalist is evident. The record's full of delicate pain and distant hopefulness" - Stephen Rapid, Lonesome Highway, Dublin, Ireland

- "Lori Yates’ Matador, sparkles with seductive grooves, wonderfully inventive melodies and finely crafted, emotive-filled vocals. Matator is, so far, my favourite album of the year.
– Rob Bowman, Grammy-winning Professor of Music

New Album: 'Ole Blue' by Cary Hudson

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

The state of Mississippi is known by many as "the birthplace of America's
music." Cary Hudson, who hails from the piney woods area of the magnolia state, is deeply aware of those roots, and isn't afraid to let them shine through in his own music.
The singer-songwriter-guitarist-pianist has been around the block a few
times, but has always come out swinging with a gritty mix of country, folk, blues, and rock and roll, all channeled through Hudson's singular voice, whether singing, wailing on six strings, pounding keys, or blowing harp.
Named among the top ten guitarists of alternative country by Gibson
Guitars, Cary's sound is a potent stew of greasy grooves, plaintive melodies, thoughtful lyrics, and fiery guitar solos.
Hudson first entered the national spotlight as the co-leader (with Laurie Stirratt) of the Oxford, miss.-based roots-rock heroes blue mountain in the early 1980s. Blue mountain graced the cover of the second-ever edition of the alt-country bible no depression and were voted by readers of the local voice as Oxford's most legendary band in 2011.

New Single: "Nobody Else But You" by Gary Patrick - TEXAS BREW RADIO

New Single: "Nobody Else But You" by Gary Patrick

 - TEXAS BREW RADIO

Texas based singer and songwriter Gary Patrick is captivating listeners with his latest album, "High to Ride." His current release at the forefront of the project is his single "Nobody Else But You," a poignant reflection on the unexpected encounter that changes the course of one's life. Patrick explains, "Many of us can relate to this one; that certain time where you weren't expecting to meet someone.”

Collaborative efforts of Patrick and co-writer Ken Orsow shine through in the album's composition, with six tracks showcasing their work. Recorded at Mauldin Studios and produced by Chad Mauldin, each song reflects a harmonious blend of talent and dedication. “I have a great team. Ken is incredible and this has been my fourth album that Chad has put together. He has everything in his studio that I could want for making a record. He’s also brilliant”

From the upbeat rhythms of "Rivers and Creeks" to the introspective melody of "Waiting that Long," "High to Ride" offers a diverse landscape that takes listeners on a journey. Including the cover of John Waite's "Missing You" adds a nostalgic touch, showcasing Patrick's ability to breathe new life into familiar classics.

Reflecting on the album's essence, Patrick says, "This is a great blend of all the genres that I've ever loved in my life." Indeed, "High to Ride" is more than just a collection of songs—it's a cinematic experience, with each track contributing to a larger narrative.

As "Nobody Else But You" makes its way to the airwaves, with Gary Patrick at the helm, "High to Ride" promises an unforgettable ride filled with soul-stirring moments and timeless melodies. The latest single along with the entire album stand as a testament to Patrick’s dedication to telling impactful stories.

New Single: "You and Me and the Neon" by The Western Express - TEXAS BREW RADIO

New Single: "You and Me and the Neon" by The Western Express

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

"You and Me and the Neon" is an account of meeting someone interesting, having a few dances, a few drinks, and maybe even stealing a quick kiss before the lights come on. I mean, if you haven’t fallen in love at a Texas honky tonk, are you even a real Texan?

Stephen Castillo and the Western Express know a thing or two about stories just like this. Even before the boys played hundreds of dance hall shows over five years, Stephen was a full-time honky tonker. We’re talking sawdust dancefloors, whiskey shots, and some of the best damn country music the world has ever heard.

Drawing from that rich Texas tradition, You and Me and the Neon is shaping up to be THE summer anthem of 2024, with a perfect two-step beat, a big singable hook, and a great (true!) story of human connection at the world famous Broken Spoke in Austin.

This is a modern country song that still has all of the roots of traditional country music. When I wrote this song, I absolutely fell in love with it. It was produced by Curt Ryle with Clarksville Creative Sound, in Clarksville, TN, just up the road from Nashville. I hope you like it and will consider putting it in rotation.

New Single: "Lone Stars" by Jaret Ray Reddick

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Many successful artists attempt to “crossover” or “try something new” at some point in their career. So it wasn’t a huge surprise back in 2022 when Jaret Ray Reddick made the announcement that he was releasing a solo album. But Country?

Fast forward a couple years, and the frontman / singer / songwriter for the Grammy nominated pop-punk icons Bowling For Soup has dug his Chuck Taylor’s deep into the world of Texas Country…and there doesn’t seem to be anyone who is surprised by this!

Jaret’s voice is unmistakable. It’s somewhat hard to escape it! From Bowling For Soup songs like “1985,” “Girl All The Bad Guys Want,” and “High School Never Ends” to the theme song of Disney’s smash hit cartoon Phineas and Ferb (where he also played a character on the show). He has been the voice of everyone’s favorite pizza selling mouse, Chuck E. Cheese, for over a decade and also co-hosts the widely successful Idobi Radio show & podcast - Rockstar Dad Show.

Despite being one of the busiest dudes in the business, Jaret is taking his country music very seriously! “My plan was to dip my toes in the water, release a few songs, play a few shows, and just kinda see what happens” he remembers. “But once the album was out, and I got the band together, we got out and started doing the darn thing, everything changed. Put it this way…three months after our first full band show, we traded my wife’s car in for a band van. I feel like that shows how serious I am! And how cool my wife is!” he laughs.

Judd Warrick's newest single, "Fascination Die"

- TEXAS BREW RADIO

Trials, tribulations, and triumphs mold us like clay. Slipping between the cracks of eloquent folk songcraft and dyed-in-the-wool Americana storytelling, you can practically hear the lessons learned, the wisdom earned, the pain endured, and the truth shared in the music of Judd Warrick. As his grizzled bellow rings out over stark instrumentation, he soldiers through the hard times and always holds on to hope. The singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist funnels a lifetime of experience into his independent full-length debut LP, Brokenland

Now, the single “Fascination Die” introduces the album. Softly strummed acoustic guitar brushes up against his delicate delivery through strains of organ. On the hook, he wonders, “How could I ever let this fascination die?”

“It always sounded like a good intro,” he observes. “It’s about the feeling you get in your gut when you’re fascinated with someone and falling in love. You’re just starting the journey with another person. Maybe there’s some doubt, so it also gets into the complexities of relationships. It’s not sad, though.”

HOW DO I GET MY MUSIC ON TEXAS BREW RADIO?

HOW DO I GET MY MUSIC ON TEXAS BREW RADIO?

Absolutely! We started a Texas Country Station - but we have too much to offer and staying that way would squash our vision!

We want our station going from a heavy metal song screaming God's a liar! To a worship song thanking Him for always being there.
We don't get the positive music, only on the positive station. And, the world is so divided, we need to help in any way we can, so we can get back to being proud Americans!
I'm working with a private venue in the downtown Stockyards to breed original music.

As far as getting on radio - need website/bio/social media- send me mp3 files and a cover photo, I'll need that or can make one.

We have events the 2nd Saturday of every month for networking and exposure- we have a video team and are working on getting our shows in online purchase viewing format.
We started hosting these in January this year. I started the station and took over the Texas State Songwriters Championship last January.

Bottom line is the only reason I have a radio station is to support the ones who have the voice and power to change the world!
Music is our universal language.  They limit the stories we get to hear on mainstream radio, and have changed the frequency, so it doesn't have the healing properties!
I am on a mission to breed original music! To support the ones making it and the venues supporting them! And to encourage them to write stories about the good old days!

Our generation has started waking up! Not taking the drugs they want to push on us, educating the public on health. We have 25 states now with self-testing facilities to get lab work without having to play the 'who moved my cheese' game with the medical industry! I hope you check out our upcoming events- I just got over 2 months of medical issues that were life threatening, to a point! And have a lot of updates to do. As our calendar was just set for our Finale in December, and I have been putting all of this together, while trying to juggle family, multiple businesses, and running social media for over a dozen other companies!

I'm really excited about the future of our organization.  I took over as CEO season 9 and we are currently powering through our decade celebration!
Here's a list of upcoming events! You are welcome at ANY of these dates.  The only event we have that is Texas Only is our FINALE- The rest are worldwide artists support and mental health awareness, education, networking opportunities.

Our main events you would probably want to travel for are
1st Annual Music Expo

We just amped up our Jokes & Strokes For Folks Events (2nd Saturday of every month- community networking)

We were helping build another rural venue and decided it best to move everything downtown for the sake of our artists and vision.

We are not in this for ourselves- we are in this for the country!
I went to the ABC Islands, and the conversations with the foreigners were always.
"Are you American?" Followed by "Why do you let your government poison you".
I wasn't supposed to spend my birthday cruise interviewing people about their thoughts lol
I saw it was possible for entire pieces of land to have EVERYONE HAPPY.
And hit a hole when I got back to America!  I didn't even get on the plane yet and people were already starting to be rude!
And, of course they dump you off in NY - LOL
I left Florida because too many NY attitudes had become permanent fixtures and no longer just snowbirds!

I'm looking forward to pulling a #COLTFORD and taking this country #BACK - to the good ole' days- or at least as close to it as we possibly can!
This is not the world we were born into! And it's because we have been conquered and divided!
Whether you are a believer or not, I encourage you to skim through the last few live feeds on this page- and you will get a LOT of insight on what is going on in our world and where I am coming from.  It even crazier that I had most of this information before I started attending this church! And, it's just helped reassure me, I'm not nuts! LOL - the world is asleep!

They started spraying folic acid on our crops years ago "enriched grain" it's caused people to develop reactions to gluten.
Fructose corn syrup is in everything, we can't process corn.....SO LET'S JUST ADD SUGAR???? HELLO CANCER-
The CDC admitted cancer went up 144% with the COVID SHOT!

I encourage your artists to download this app- and reach out to me. I have an amazing network, the app is a free speech platform. And I have artists who got 11k followers in 7 weeks, multiple!
I will help them figure out the algorithm. They will need to stick to it for the first 6 weeks and then can post once a day and will grow!

They can monetize from day one on this app!

We got an amazing email asking how to be put on the station from an artist that was out of state!

HOW DO I GET MY MUSIC ON TEXAS BREW RADIO?

Building relationships instead of just sending files, that half the time aren't even properly saved to understand what we are getting, IS HOW YOU GET YOUR MUSIC ON THE RADIO!!!

THANK YOU KEGCOUNTRY - WE LOOK FORWARD TO SPINNING YOUR MUSIC!!!

ARTISTS SONG PROMOTION- GET VIDEOS TO ADD CONTENT TO YOUR PAGE

I have talked to a few people who all think having the reel video song promos available to others stations, fans, artists, podcasts, content creators, venues, and whoever I can get to support the artists at the station, is a good idea.

I want people to be able to use the videos, but its a lot of work and I think $5/month is fair to subscribe to have access.

I want others to be able to use it and give artists more exposure, but it's also a LOT of work and I don't want to give it away completely free.

$5 a month won't make me rich by any means and helps fund city-wide events and retreats.

I'm planning to do an artist retreat in June, with guest speakers; business, motivation, and industry, in a camp fire type setting.

We will start it off and go live on multiple platforms, song swap and tell our stories for the first part.

Then, break down into sessions and jump off live.

I want all of the artists to go live as well, that are a part of it.

I'll see if I can get a sponsor for tripods. LOL

We will also have the speakers recorded and available on another subscription tier for artists who can't make it for capacity or other reasons.

I just wanted to take the time to make sure I have your support in this idea, before I add any of the videos I have done of your song.

I will send you links to download as well.

I'm also going to make square format ones for venues to use to make reels so they can add dates and stuff, so they have different formats to work with.

And, from now on I will be reaching out to artists before I make a video to get their website information to include on them.

I have a LOT of awesomeness going on I have not been public about, nor will I be until the time comes.

But, I just wanted to get this info out to everyone that, it is coming, and those who want to be involved, can be!

I'm going to offer this as multiple genre as well and separate categories for each state.

You will just have to have a little patience with me getting it all set up, as I am one person and running several businesses on top of the three that I own.

Thank you to those of you who have encouraged and supported me on this adventure!

Special shout-out to Ninja Cowboys and Kim Hunter!

Without them, none of this would be happening!

Teamwork makes the dream work~

It's time to network and grow the independent artists too!

It shouldn't be such a grind, when you are trying to add value to the lives of others and be heard!

Keep on keeping on, and know…I'm here to support you if I can, will tell you if I can't, and will guide you in a few directions, so you can find what you need to and make a decision of your own.

Looking forward to getting to know you better, work with you, and build with you.

That goes for artists, stations, podcasts, venues, small businesses, content creators, models, photographers, ANYONE who wants to network and build that has a vision and INTEGRITY!  ~ Cynthia
